New CIO appointments, December 2021

Fred Killeen is named VP of global IT and chief information officer at General Motors

Killeen’s appointment is part of the recently-announced restructuring of its Information Technology function into two groups –Digital Business Software, and Global IT. Killeen previously served as chief information security officer and chief technology officer, GM IT, reporting to EVP & CIO Randy Mott, who is retiring. In his new role, Killeen will report to GM Chair and CEO Mary Barra. He first joined GM in March 2001. Killeen holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering from Michigan State University and is on the Advisory Board for the Oakland University School of Engineering and Computer Science.

TD Bank Promotes Judy Dinn to Chief Information Officer

TD Bank is one of the 10 largest banks in the U.S., serving more than 9.6 million customers at more than 1,100 locations. Dinn joined TD Bank in 2020 as Chief Architect and CIO of U.S. Credit Cards. Earlier, she was CIO of Credit Cards at JPMorgan Chase in the U.S. In her new role, Dinn will report to Greg Braca, President and CEO, TD Bank, and Greg Keeley, Chief Information Officer, TD Bank Group. She earned an Honors Bachelor of Mathematics in Computer Science from the University of Waterloo, Ontario, Canada.

Konica Minolta USA Announces Mike Lee as CIO

New Jersey-based Konica Minolta Business Solutions U.S.A. supports clients’ digital transformation through IT services, intelligent information management, managed print services and commercial print solutions. Most recently, Lee was CIO and CoE Leader for Digital Customer Experience at Carrier’s $4 billion refrigeration business. From 2000 to 2018, he held a progression of technology leadership positions at GE Capital and GE Digital. Lee holds a B.S. in Interdisciplinary Engineering and Management from Clarkson University.

Michelle Ferrara joins Arizona Public Service as CIO

Arizona Public Service (APS) is a subsidiary of Pinnacle West Capital (NYSE: PNW), an electric utility holding company based in Phoenix, AZ. APS also is the operator and co-owner of the Palo Verde Generating Station, the largest nuclear plant and the single-largest generator of carbon-free electricity in the U.S. Prior to joining APS, Ferrara spent over 20 years at Exelon and its predecessor companies in Baltimore, holding several IT leadership positions of increasing scope and complexity. She earned a BS degree in Information Systems Management from University of Baltimore, and an MS in Information Systems from Western International University.

Lazydays RV Appoints Harsh Uchariya Chief Information Officer

Lazydays (NASDAQ: LAZY) is an $800 million provider of recreational vehicle sales and services that is headquartered outside Tampa, FL. Uchariya joins Lazydays from ClubCorp, where he was CIO. Prior to ClubCorp, he served as Chief Technology Officer and Chief Architect at Wyndham Destinations Vacation Clubs and Resorts. Uchariya received his Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering from India’s Government Engineering College and his MBA from Indian Institute of Information Management and Technology.

Southwestern Health Resources appoints Thomas “Mac” Marlow CIO

SWHR is a combination of UT Southwestern Medical Center and Texas Health Resources, and includes a clinically integrated network of 29 hospital locations and more than 5,500 physicians. Marlow previously served as Vice President of Software Applications at Lehigh Valley Health Network in Allentown, PA. Marlow earned an MBA at Averett University and completed the Leadership and Management Program at The Management Institute at Roanoke College. He is also a Certified Healthcare Chief Information Officer (CHCIO), a certified Project Management Professional (PMP) and a Certified Scrum Master (CSM).

Triumph Bancorp appoints Renee Galitis CIO

Triumph Bancorp, Inc. (NASDAQ: TBK) is a financial holding company headquartered in Dallas, Texas, offering a diversified line of banking, payments, and factoring services. It is the parent company of TBK Bank. Most recently, Galitis served as EVP, Chief Information Officer with Caliber Home Loans, a publicly traded mortgage company located in Coppell, Texas. Prior to that, she was Chief Technology Officer at Black Knight, which provided integrated technology, data, and analytics to the mortgage and real estate industry. Galitis earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics from Tufts University.

Daved Karl named CIO of Williams Industrial Services Group

Williams is an energy and industrial infrastructure services company based in Georgia. Karl was previously the Senior Director of Global Information Technology with a subsidiary of the Hitachi Group. He holds a B.S. in Computer Information Systems and an MBA from Woodbury University, a Master’s degree in Technology Management from Pepperdine University, as well as Masters’ degrees in Cyber Security and Information Technology Leadership from Western Governors University.

BRP Group, Inc. welcomes Rajasekhar Kalahasthi as Chief Digital & Information Officer

Kalahasthi comes to BRP Group from Comerica Bank, where he served as CIO for its retail and wealth management divisions. Kalahasthi holds bachelor’s and master’s degrees in Information Technology from BITS-Pilani and IIIT-B in India, and an MBA from University of Michigan Ross School of Business.

Jewelers Mutual Group welcomes John Kreul as Chief Information Officer

Most recently, Kreul served as VP of Supply Chain for Amcor. Prior to that, he was CIO for Bemis Company, and held other technology leadership positions at PepsiCo and Quaker Oats. Kreul earned an Executive MBA from Northwestern University and a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Wisconsin-La Crosse.

Enseo promotes Kris Singleton to President & CIO

Singleton joined Enseo as Chief Information Officer in 2020 and will continue holding that position in addition to her new role as President. A 30-year veteran of the technology industry, she has more than a decade of experience in gaming, hospitality and travel, and has held CIO positions for prestigious companies including Omni Hotels & Resorts, The Cosmopolitan of Las Vegas, Kimpton Hotels & Restaurants, and International Cruise & Excursions (I.C.E.). Singleton earned a BS degree in CIS and Management from University of Central Missouri.

Tony Scott, former CIO of Microsoft and U.S. government, named CEO of Intrusion

Plano, Texas-based Intrusion offers companies cyber-defense solutions. In 2015, Scott was appointed by President Barack Obama to the role of Federal CIO for the U.S. Government. In that role, which he held till 2017, he had oversight of more than $85 billion in budget. Before working for the federal government, he served stints as CIO at Disney, VMWare and Microsoft. Scott holds a BS degree in Information Systems Management from the University of San Francisco and a Juris Doctorate (law) degree from Santa Clara University. He was inducted into CIO magazine’s “CIO Hall of Fame” and has been a frequent keynote speaker, panelist and advisor at numerous industry and government events.
