OPPO announced on Wednesday that the ColorOS Developer Preview based on the Google Android 13 Beta 1 update is now coming to OPPO’s smartphone models like the Find X5 Pro, Find N, and OnePlus 10 Pro.
According to an official introduction by OPPO, the version of OPPO Find N needs to be A.16 or below before upgrading. Users who intend to experience Android 13 need to fully back up their smartphone data to cloud services or computers before upgrading to avoid data loss.
Android 13 Beta 2 takes “privacy and security” as a major update. There’s a new photo selection tool that lets users restrict the photos and videos an app can access, rather than granting permission to see their whole library. Google also plans to introduce a new unified Security & Privacy settings page in Android 13 that provides a clear indicator of the safety status while also offering suggestions that will enhance security.
With Android 13, Google plans to roll out pre-made color variants that will apply a color scheme across the entire OS. In terms of personalization, Android 13 users can select a different language preference for each of apps in settings. The new feature will be useful for people who are multilingual and use different languages depending on specific situations. With Android 13, Google is going to introduce better multitasking capabilities for tablets through an updated taskbar.
In addition, Android 13 will support more interactive functions between smartphones and various devices, such as televisions, computers, headphones and automobiles. For example, one of the new features brought about by Android 13 Beta 2 is the ability to copy and paste data from smartphones to tablets.
